Resposta
Sim
Mecanismo(s)
(1) Competição,(3) Hibridização,(8) Pastoreio / Herbivoria / Alimentação
Evidência
Competição: A comparison of the distributions of the mountain hare and the brown hare in Europe shows that in most places where the latter occurs, the former seems restricted to high altitudes and deep forests.... Competition is inferred because each species of the pair will occupy the preferred habitat of the other in its absence. (Thulin, 2003) Hibridização: Every time a mountain hare female hybridizes with a brown hare male, the local mountain hare population will lose a species-specific litter. (Thulin, 2003) Pastoreio / herbivoria / alimentação: Impact on natural regeneration of native forest (Novillo & Ojeda, 2007)

Resposta
Sim
Mecanismo(s)
(1) Competição
Evidência
Competição: The native mountain hare has been completely displaced within the province of Ska˚ne and within 100–150 years the invading European hare has occupied a region of sympatry approximately twice the land area of Ireland (ca. 180,000 km2).

Resposta
Reversível
Mecanismo(s)
(1) Competição
Evidência
Competição: Competition is inferred because each species of the pair will occupy the preferred habitat of the other in its absence.

INFORMAÇÕES ADICIONAIS DA AVALIAÇÃO

Vias de introdução/dispersão
introduzido como espécie cinegética intencionalmente.
Comentários e informações adicionais
General impacts are mainly grassland decrease and negative impact over agriculture and regeneration of the native forest (Amaya 1978; Ramilo 2000), competition with domestic livestock, damages to fruit, seeds and forest crops, etc. Considering the high abundance, great dispersion ability and occupation of the same habitats as the middle host of Fasciola hepatica, Lepus is considered a threat to cattle in the Patagonian area (Kleiman et al. 2004)
