SIGEEI Public API

Query public, versioned SIGEEI data as JSON. Version 1 is read-only and requires no API key.

Protected scientific scope

Scientific review cases, personal data and administrative resources are never exposed. Occurrences are published only when classified as non-native and territorially eligible.

Websites may query directly from the browser: GET responses include public CORS. Server applications use the same HTTPS endpoint.

Available resources

GET /api/v1/taxa

Monitored species and national territorial status.

GET /api/v1/conservation-units

Protected areas and CNUC metadata.

GET /api/v1/occurrences

Only non-native, territorially eligible occurrences.

GET /api/v1/eicat

EICAT impact assessments, separate from origin decisions.

GET /api/v1/priorities

Priorities published under territorial method 2.0.0.

GET /api/v1/pathways

Introduction pathways and vectors.

Pagination and language

Use page and pageSize. Send Accept-Language: en for English messages. Invalid parameters return HTTP 400.

Citation and sources

Each response links to the version DOI. Also preserve source_name, source_url and source_license when reusing records.

Contract and availability

The machine-readable contract is available at /api/v1/openapi.json. The API enforces request limits and may return HTTP 429 with Retry-After.
