Avaliação de impactos
1. Redução no desempenho de indivíduos da biota nativa
Resposta: Sim
Mecanismos selecionados: (11) Impacto estrutural no ecossistema
Evidências por mecanismo
The species is present in Australia and in Florida (USA), and has been listed as an invasive species by the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council (FLEPPC, 2003), where it created thick ground cover which was largely impenetrable to other plants (Brunel, 2009).

2. Declínio no tamanho populacional de espécie nativa
Resposta: Sim
Mecanismos selecionados: (1) Competição,(11) Impacto estrutural no ecossistema
Evidências por mecanismo
Along one area of the Mount 'Alava trail it completely dominated the groundcover layer, seemingly to the exclusion of all other species. (Space & Flynn, 2000a)
It has the ability to spread in the deep shade of intact forests, forming a dense mat on the forest floor as well as climbing trees (Space & Flynn, 2000b)

3. Extinção local de população nativa
Resposta: Não
4. Reversibilidade da extinção local após remoção do táxon
Resposta: Nenhuma extinção registrada
