Avaliação de impactos
1. Redução no desempenho de indivíduos da biota nativa
Resposta: Sim
Mecanismos selecionados: (1) Competição,(2) Predação
Evidências por mecanismo
They compete with native trout and other fish species.
Salmo trutta has been implicated in reducing native fish populations (especially other salmonids) through predation, displacement, and food competition (Taylor et al., 1984). There are some negative effects from S. trutta since the species was introduced in America (Animal Diversity Web, 2004).

2. Declínio no tamanho populacional de espécie nativa
Resposta: Sim
Mecanismos selecionados: (1) Competição,(2) Predação
Evidências por mecanismo
Evidence of species and population-level impacts are mainly linked to direct predation by O. mykiss, S. trutta and Micropterus species (Black Basses), which have resulted in local extirpations of native fishes and invertebrates (Ellender and Weyl 2014; van der Walt et al. 2016; Shelton et al. 2018).
S. trutta have also been implicated in the decline of populations of Hadromophryne natalensis (Natal Cascade Frog) in a streams in the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park (Karssing et al. 2012).

3. Extinção local de população nativa
Resposta: Sim
Mecanismos selecionados: (2) Predação
Evidências por mecanismo
Causes declines, and in some cases local extirpation, of native invertebrates, frogs and fish through predation.

4. Reversibilidade da extinção local após remoção do táxon
Resposta: Reversível
